About
Food and Primary Skills Victoria is a non-profit vocational skills and training skills advisory body. It works with Victorian industry associations, unions, training providers, government agencies and enterprises to continually advocate for and improve skills and training across primary industries.
FPSV provides advice, products and services to enterprises to assist with skills and training. It promotes career choices and pathways in primary industries, as well as providing a means for members to raise issues, share information and provide feedback to government authorities.
FPSV is also contracted by the Victorian Skills Authority to provide executive support services to the Primary Industry Advisory Group, one of ten advisory groups that provides the Victorian government with specialised knowledge and insights into skills and workforce challenges, current and future skill needs, and potential solutions.

Our Role
We will:
- Work with our members and stakeholders to produce quality skills and training outcomes
- Provide accurate and timely advice about VET products and services
- Build awareness and capability of enterprises to determine their own skill needs, understand and navigate the VET system, and to access high quality training providers
- Promote career choices within primary industries
- Ensure that skill needs across primary industries inform Victorian government VET responses
