Agriculture – support services

Support services aim to sustain farming inputs, outputs and growing/harvesting operations and to ensure materials and products are of the required quality.  Support services are extensive and can include:

  • grain storage
  • rural merchandising, marketing and advertising
  • irrigation
  • agricultural chemical specialisations, pest and weed control
  • financial services
  • transport and distribution
  • technology and equipment services
  • packaging
  • advisory and consulting services

Job titles for those who work at different levels are generally described as below, with numerous other variations used:
