Landscapers plan, design, construct and maintain gardens and landscapes, in private homes, commercial buildings, centres and schools, factories and industrial estates and precincts such as roadsides and streetscapes, parklands, irrigation systems and water features.
Landscapers are licensed tradesmen and women who, apart from constructing and maintaining gardens and landscapes, may also construct pergolas and decks, swimming pools and surrounds, paving, retaining walls, fences, paths and driveways, ponds, fountains and water features, playgrounds, street furniture, outside kitchens.
To become a landscaper you must complete an Apprenticeship. You might then choose to specialise in design or apply to become a
Registered Building Practitioner
